English Wild Flowers - Wild Garlic

Description

A clump of Wild Garlic which was found in the Humford Woods at Bedlington, Northumberland where they grow profusely in late spring, filling the air with their strong garlic smell. The leaves of Wild Garlic (Allium ursinium) are edible; they can be used as salad, herb, boiled as a vegetable, in soup, or as an ingredient for pesto in lieu of basil.
