Dandelion seeds and their parachutes

Dandelion 'clock' seed head which has already given up some of its seeds is captured in macro form clearly showing the seeds and their 'parachutes'. This particular example was found on the dunes near Druridge Bay in Northumberland on an early May morning in spring.
