The mouth of the River Tyne

This image shows the River Tyne flowing into the North Sea between the piers at North and South Shields on a lovely June morning. The ancient walls of Tynemouth Castle can be seen on the left hand side of the photograph together with some of the small craft from Tynemouth Sailing Club at Priors Haven.
