The Gateshead Millennium Bridge

The Gateshead Millennium Bridge (sometimes known as the blinking eye bridge) spans the River Tyne between Gateshead Arts Quarter and the Newcastle Quayside. It is a pedestrian and cycle bridge first opened to the public in 2001 and was the first tilting bridge ever to be constructed.
