October sunrise over the old wooden pier at Blyth in Northumberland on the North East Coast of England. The image shows the mouth of the River Blyth as it enters the North Sea with its two piers and lighthouse after overnight rain and a very calm sea. The image has been converted to monochrome to emphasise the wet pier and the cloudy sky.
